Located on the Ottawa River approximately half way between Ottawa and Montreal, Montebello is a little country village surrounded by impressive Canadian wilderness. The village is best known for being home to the world famous Château Montebello resort, the largest log structure ever built. The chateau is located on a huge protected wilderness area where visitors can stay in luxury cabins and is at the center of the village's outdoor pursuits including fishing, hunting, canoeing, and hiking. Tourists also enjoy golfing at one of the area’s three golf courses and visiting Parc Omega, a large drive-through wildlife park where visitors have the opportunity to see several wild animals up close.
