Catskill, NY

Catskill lies along the Hudson River, bordering Columbia County to the east and Ulster County to the south. Thomas Cole, founder of the Hudson River School of painting, resided in the town and was honored after his death with a beautiful stained glass window in the local church building that he designed. Thomas Cole’s home is located in The Catskill Mountains and is open for viewing. The Catskills Mountains, with their flowing rivers and deep valleys, are a popular site for camping and summer housing.
